About Us
We are a family in Englewood, Florida raising our children to have deep love for this state. Lee Rabidue, a dad to a son and a daughter and a husband to a loving wife is the owner of IguanaTrapper.com . He started Iguana Trapper to protect Florida’s natural beauty for Florida's next generation. Our mission is simple: humane removal of invasive iguanas and smart prevention that puts Florida’s native plants, birds, and waterways first.
Why We Do This
Invasive green iguanas are tough on Florida’s native foliage and wildlife. They strip leaves from hibiscus, bougainvillea, and garden beds. They raid fruit and new shoots. Their burrows disturb dunes and banks that support wetlands and coastal habitat.
Droppings collect where people and pets play. They wash into canals and ponds after storms. Nesting sites multiply fast in warm months, which means more damage to native shrubs, groundcover, and tree seedlings.
We serve because we care about mangroves, shorebirds, gopher tortoises, butterflies, and backyard songbirds. A healthy landscape supports them all. Our work helps your yard and community recover with native plants in mind.
